What questions are you persistently asking yourself?

Before our feeds were flooded with talk of AI: (Artificial Intelligence) there was another AI: (Appreciative Inquiry). This philosophy, rooted in the study of human systems, offers powerful insights into organizational change and leadership development.
It’s not just a methodology; it’s a mindset, one that shifts the focus from problems to possibilities.
Appreciative Inquiry, developed in the 1980s, is built on a simple yet transformative principle: human systems move in the direction of the questions we persistently, authentically, and systematically ask.
When we center our attention on what gives life to an organization at its best, we unlock pathways for co-creating futures that inspire and engage.
In my work with leaders, I’ve found that applying AI principles fosters resilience, creativity, and a shared sense of purpose. By focusing on strengths and successes, rather than deficits, we create space for innovation and collaborative growth. This approach aligns seamlessly with the values I hold dear as I guide others to lead with courage, confidence, and grace.
As we step into 2025, I’m excited to explore how Appreciative Inquiry can transform the way we think about leadership and organizational change. In the coming weeks, I’ll share more about how this approach has influenced my work and how it can empower you to lead your teams and organizations to new heights.
Today, I invite you to reflect on:
What gives life to your leadership and your organization?
What questions are you persistently asking that move you toward your vision for the future?
With love and gratitude,
Leslie Fuqua Williams
